Prisma Health’s support of community partners provides much needed funds to bolster services and provide increased access to those in need. Prisma Health’s contribution to Julie Valentine Center’s Run2Overcome contributed to over $100,000 in funds raised for victims of sexual violence, child abuse survivors and their families. Over 500 community members participated, including Prisma Health team members.
Community partner, Centre Stage, hosted the Prisma Health Mobile Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, August 14, where 30 community members and theater artists received vaccines! A second clinic has been scheduled for Saturday, September 11.
Our branded support of The Children’s Museum of the Upstate’s Back to School Bash leveraged an additional $16,000 for STEAM education funding. Buddy the Bear was onsite to welcome 650 participants.

After a year of virtual programming, Upstate partner Ten at the Top, hosted an in-person networking event showcasing corporate partners. This unique opportunity allowed our Business Health Solutions team to make beneficial connections and showcase Prisma Health as a value leader.
Prisma Health Night at the Drive offered a fun way to recognize team members for their hard work and dedication to our purpose during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Over 1,000 tickets were provided at a subsidized rate, allowing team members and their families to enjoy baseball, an all-you-can-eat buffet, games, and ice cream social! This event also showcased Prisma Health as a terrific place to work and a good community neighbor!

An all-star lineup of speakers including COO Clarence Sevillian, OMH Emergency Medicine Director Dr. Bill Chiles, and CEO Hunter Kome showcased Prisma Health’s commitment to improving access to services and patient experience.
STEMI/Chest Pain Program Manager, Christina Freeman, and our Emergency Medical Services Team were onsite at America’s Night Out at Heritage Park to train community in hands-only CPR. Over 40 community members received information on this life saving technique!
Richland County StoryWalk sponsored by Prisma Health opened at Caughman Park in the Lower Richland Community. This opportunity allows us to inspire young readers while promoting healthy activities. It is estimated that this program will reach 12,000 participants across three locations in its first year!
Aligning partnerships with EdVenture, SC First Steps, and Midlands Healthy Start for Countdown to Kindergarten, a free event for rising kindergartners and their families, provided much-needed prevention and wellness information to over 260 in attendance!
