Outpatient Brain Injury and Young Stroke Program
The Roger C. Peace Outpatient Brain Injury and Young Stroke Program is the only program of its kind in South Carolina and maintains specialty accreditation for brain injury, stroke, and vocational programs by the Commission for Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Our program emphasizes an interdisciplinary rehabilitative approach involving individual and group therapies centered on the patient and family within the treatment center, community and home. Advanced outpatient programs focus on life skills, higher cognitive abilities and re-entry to school or work.
A brain injury or stroke can affect a person’s abilities. Comprehensive rehabilitation must target how these changes affect an individual’s ability to function in a variety of settings.
