Committed to serving the community

Prisma Health’s Athletic Training Outreach Program provides services across the state of South Carolina from the Upstate to the Midlands. Our athletic trainers provide care to traditional and non-traditional athletes to help them get back in the game.

Prisma Health’s Athletic Training team is responsible for approximately 38,000 student athletes at all divisional levels within the South Carolina High School League and many of the institutions within the South Carolina Independent School Association. Our services are provided at the collegiate level to eight NCAA Division I, Division II, and NAIA institutions within the Midlands region of South Carolina.

Services provided by athletic trainers include injury and illness prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation.

Athletic trainers are allied health care professionals who provide care for physically active individuals under the direction of and in collaboration with Prisma Health physicians.

Athletic trainers help with a variety of athletic injuries and conditions, including:

  • Closed joint reductions.
